I need help!
So I was putting together an electric guitar kit (yes I should expect it to not work correctly I know) and when I plug the guitar into my amp its not picking up any sound from the strings.
However, when I turn the pre-gain up I start to hear a buzzing sound and when I touch the humbucker pickups I also hear the same sound. Does anyone have any ideas? |

Yep, you should have gotten the acoustic guitar kit
Hope it all works out for you, Devon

Sounds like it could be a ground loop issue. Verify your wiring harness diagram or schematic with any parts you had to solder such as pots, capacitor, jack, etc. A continuity tester may also help you in finding the problem...and therefore the solution.
Good luck, Kevin Michael

Thanks Kevin.
Luckily one of my friends has built several electric guitars and he thinks the ground might be the problem as well. |
