Congrats! J-15s are superb guitars. Never seen one without a pickguard. Threw me off. Kinda looks like a Taylor GP.

Enjoy that little beauty. You’ve got a winner.

Send Gibson an email with the serial number. Perhaps it's a limited edition (there is no pickguard).

Bought from long & Mcquade chain store here in Canada. Great service !

Wasn't sure about the burst at first as I really like the antique natural, but it quickly grew on me.

I made a phone call at another shop an hour form home and they had that walnut burst j15 brand new that they could rent. They arranged for me a "contact free" pickup at the store, and after a fresh set of ej16, this thing is amazing !

Best guitar I've ever played. I prefer gibson for the 12" fingerboard radius. This thing is loud and have tons of headroom. Stiffest neck I've seen too.

So I bought it couldn't resist. My first quality acoustic.

Question : sould it come with a pickguard ? 🤔

Thanks for watching.

Love that burst. Very nice!

Enjoy

That is a nice looking guitar! I looooove my J-15. Mine came with a pick guard, but is natural finish. Maybe the burst doesn’t come with one?

Long & McQuade lets you rent guitars / equipment by the day, week, or month. Not sure if all guitars are included but you can rent Gibson acoustics and electrics. Great way to determine whether you want to buy that guitar.

That’s a lovely guitar.

Normally I’d advocate for a pickguard on this body style for the traditional Gibson look, but it does look really nice without one thanks to the shiny rosette. Your call — can’t go wrong either way.
