Just finished this Martin 000 12fret based guitar. EIR back and sides, ebony headplate, end wedge and FB, Englemann top and braces. Royal lac shellac french polish finish.

Yes, nice work. Is the nut scalloped for a reason, or just for looks?

Thanks! Yes, it is just for looks. The first guitar I bought (a Mexican classical) in 1975, had a scalloped nut, so the plain ones never look right to me!
