Default fender duo sonic on the way

I just bought a duo sonic on reverb
The reason I chose this guitar is that I can't fully
Strum on a Tele or strat without my hand hitting
The switch, even with turning the switch around,I played
On at Sam ash recently, sounded and felt pretty good
Anybody have one? Thoughts'?
Thanks
Dave

I have had one since the early 70's. The really short scale is the only draw-back.

I think the original ones had a 22.5 inch scale and modern ones are 24 inch scale. Nice little guitars though.

I played one in a store several years ago considering it for my then young son to learn on. I recall it sounded nice (Jaguar-ish, without the special Jaguar modes that are not as commonly used) and that short-short scale has an interesting feel and adds to chordal reach.

Speaking of Jaguars, those little slider pickup switches are the only design where I've encounters your problem when playing. I've seen punk stage setups where gaffers tape covers switches to prevent stuff on wilder stages and playing.

Still, I can't image your strumming hitting the PU switch on a Tele with the plate-reverse mod. Your hand would literally have to be strumming behind the bridge (useful on a Jaguar or Jazzmaster--see Nels Cline--but there's no strings behind there on a Telecaster.) If you're hitting knobs, I'd try lower knobs (like Gibson speed knobs or the like).

I hope you enjoy your DuoSonic, but if the urge to buy something else comes up, a one-pickup Les Paul Jr. will prevent this!
