Default Portland Guitar OM bubinga/adirondack spruce Affordable luthiery--1900

Hello,

This guitar for sale has a Bolivian rosewood back and sides with an Adirondack spruce top. It has a 15” lower bout making it an OM size.
Our guitars are built with precision and care in order to make the best sound and experience. We believe the guitar can adapt to what the player wants. This is achieved through an easy use cantilever neck.
The adjustment bolt can be accessed from the heel stock with an allen wrench. The action is set low at 0.015” at the first fret. It can be adjusted up and down within a range.

The bracing is a curved, falcate style. The braces are reinforced with graphite to provide minimal surface area and maximum strength. They are shaved down until the minimal thickness to handle the tension of the strings. More response and stronger resonance can be felt in the body as the result of this style.
The final piece is a split saddle bridge.
Each nut can be moved individually to provide the right amount of compensation. As your guitar changes over time with humidity there is a need to re-intonate. Conventional compensation can’t meet this need, but the split saddle bridge does.

This is a simple but unique guitar. There is no rosette currently, if you’d like one, we can make it with a pattern based on a theme or design and attach it direct. The neck profile is thick with a broad D-shape.
The luthier finds this hard to handle for his hands and plans to re-shape it thinner. This provides the opportunity for your choice of neck profile.
The price includes a hard-shell case and shipping.
