It’s with great hesitation that I sell my signature Bourgoeis OM.
Many things have happened since I purchased this guitar.
I have acquired numerous guitars since and its time to thin out.
I will be listing more guitars on the forum in the future.
OK, this is one beautiful guitar! This guitar is a special issue, 1 of 6 guitars Dana made for the National Bluegrass Association in 2008. The Adirondack red spruce top has a warm darker look to it, surrounded by Dana’s signature herringbone top inlay, this is paired with the most gorgeous Madagascar Rosewood you will ever see. Bound together with a highly figured curly maple binding, which Dana doesn’t use anymore. It has my favorite style ebony pyramid bridge. A very cool Greven pick guard, it almost looks 3D. It has a 1-3/4 inch nut, 25 inch scale with a bridge spacing of 2-5/16 inch, with gold Waverly open tuners. I have the guitar set up for finger-style playing, so the action is on the lower side, very comfortable to play. The sound is sweet, as is often stated, it has a very balanced and articulated sound, the best guitar I’ve had to use a capo on. It’s not a boomer, but it has good volume and excellent sustain. These OM’s do not come up for sale very often, as you can see by the photo’s, this guitar is in beautiful shape, with the exception of where it got bumped on the bottom of the lower bout, it doesn’t show up very well on the photo, it could be spot refinished, it never bothered me enough to address.
Comes with the original plush lined arch-top case.

Hi bougsom,

Beautiful guitar. I have 2 questions.... Are you certain the lower bout damage is a finish crack only, have you had it checked out by a luthier, any pics of that area from the inside?

Sorry for the late response. I have not had a luthier look at the guitar, no need, it's finish damage. I have checked with a mirror and can even send you inside photo's of the area.
