I'm guessing they've taken a page from Emerald's playbook, but with spruce, in keeping with their more traditional vibe.

I would guess a well-done stain or paint job. CF is a great palate.

Looks really nice in the pictures. It also looks like it may have a new electronics setup of some kind. I'm intrigued.

JR;

Is there any chance of you getting the prototype or the first one out of the oven? If so, you better get going because you know that Kramster is probably hot on the hunt.

Does this actually have a newly designed neck? Or are you just kidding around. Certainly a nice looking guitar and different from their current offerings.

If you go here and click on the picture, it comes up in a much larger version. I think I can see a "spruce-y" grain. I also think the runout-like difference in color between the sides suggests a spruce veneer.

This kind of detective work makes for fun guessing. Can't wait to get more info from RainSong.

You are the second person to comment so I changed my post. It’s pure wishful thinking on my part.

No worries. I was trying to find out if they redesigned that neck but couldn't find any hard evidence. I agree with the wishful thinking though. The N2 neck is currently keeping me away from trying another Rainsong.

Yup, because I LOVE the way that Nashville looks and really dig the Rainsong tone too.
