Just like SCGC DPW, but depends on what spacing you spec & how it responds to lights. Time will tell.

We've got the rosewood/deluxe model on the way. Looking forward to checking these out, seems like it's going to be a cool and versatile size!

Similar situation here as I feel myself being reeled in. There are a lot of other things I could justify using $4000-$5000 towards, but I won't be surprised if I (continue to) talk myself into a D2HA model. Those babies sing! I wonder if a dealer would take 4 guitars traded in for 1? Hmmm. Haha.

I saw an interview with Bill Collings awhile back and he seemed like the most down to earth guy one would ever meet. Sad to see him pass much too early.

While I like the overall design, I feel the 1 11/16 nut and the 2 3/16 string spacing at the saddle will preclude this one from my consideration.

Optional. Would not be surprised if some dealers ordered them in for stock with a 1-3/4" nut for example, or you could custom order.

This is standard and no different from many Collings. If you look at their website you will see they list the 1 11/16 nut and the 2 3/16 string spacing at the saddle as standard on the 0, OM, CJ, SJ and D models (basically all their 14-fret guitar models.)However, it’s very common for dealers to carry wider spacings. I’ve owned 5 over the years and all have had wider spacing and none were special ordered.

Guess that's why I have no Collings in the stable at present. Thanks for the thoughts re custom ordering though. I thought the guitar sounded very good in the vid, like the overall appearance and really dug the 'burst.
Better start saving up now, eh?

Fretboard Journal sent out that video a few days ago, to my ears, that's the warmest sounding Collings I've heard and I like the shape and size a lot.

The previous Collings I've owned I just never bonded with tonewise. This one sounds quite different.

Unfortunately, this has my solid attention of late and I'm trying my best to wait it out until someone buys it, but its getting harder each day:

It does seem a little strange to build another guitar (left) just 1/8" narrower and 1/4" deeper than their own SJ.(right)
