Washburn WB400SWK new old stock
I found this WB400SWK on Reverb. It is new old stock and came from a seller in Russia. Beautiful guitar. It was indeed new old stock (2008 serial) and not a scuff or scratch on it; it even had the original strings that were in new condition. I had to do a bit of set up, but now it sings with that wonderful rosewood tone that I love so much. Unusual size, it is a baby jumbo. I find it very easy to hold even with my bad shoulder. I know Washburn is pretty dead on this forum, as everyone thinks Martin and Taylor (I have both) are the only guitar worth mentioning, but, Here's some pics of it....

Very nice.
I have a guitar made by Australian luthier Dan Dubowski that has a similar oval shaped sound hole.

I came across a mention of some new Washburn guitars that someone supposedly 'discovered' in a warehouse some years ago that had been 'forgotten.' I took the bait and it was such a good guitar, I bought another one, lol, and my brother also bought one. All are excellent. Seems to be kinda what you describe, a 'baby' jumbo. Has a really sweet sound, easy to play.

Washburn Baby
Have one also. Sounds surprisingly good. It is comfortable to play. Only thing I don’t like is the shape of the bridge. Acoustic guitar mag gave it a solid review.

I noticed the slight slope of the sides, also the mini tuners. An unusual guitar to say the least. Mine even had the original string manufacturers tag still hanging from a tuner knob. Vinci strings.

It's a very beautiful, classy guitar. Washburn may not be mentioned here a great deal, or talked about in the guitar world in general a great deal these days, but they make some fine instruments. I can't think of a Washburn I've played that I didn't like something about, and some flat blew me away.
Congratulations and enjoy!

Look for
There are some totally great guitars from Washburn out there look at some very early models like the W-500 or W-600 and then there are the ones the Dana B built for them and of course a lot of the Yamaki line guitars were fantastic.

I have one of the early Tacoma builds. A D46 Cheyenne. It's a good guitar.

Really like my Washburn all-solid-wood grand auditorium. It is easily the second best guitar I have (next to the 714ce), and it has a rich tone that is closer to the 714ce than anything else I have.
