Boutique 8-String Lap Steel
Offering this beautiful 8-string lap steel for sale. I haven't had the time to devote to learning steel properly, despite my best intentions, so I'd like to send this wonderful instrument along to a new home.
It's built from solid mahogany, I believe 3" thick with a two-piece body. George L pickup, brass nut & saddle, locking Sperzel tuners. Was set up in June and sounds fantastic. Currently tuned to (F/G)ACEgace, but I believe the gauges are such that you could swap in an E13 set without having to reslot the nut or anything. Comes with a flight case (36" rifle case) that is brand new. It's never been played out of the house (smoke-free, if that matters to you), or subjected to any unkindness. The only blemish is a maybe-2mm chip on the edge of the lower bout, pictured below. I got a great deal on this from the original owner, so I'll try to give you one as well. That said, I do really need the funds at the moment, so please no low-balls. Asking $700 + shipping for forum members (nice discount from the reverb listing).
