Dang. That reminds me so much of me... and what a great song!
Kaline, Killebrew, and Mantle were childhood heroes.
I had a Mickey Mantle bat and cried when it broke about 8 inches from the handle. Nails and electrical tape brought it back but something broke inside of me.
