I glanced through the list and a bunch of them are praise and worship artists - interesting how word spreads through different subcultures.

Ahhh that explains why they're unknown to me. There's no 'halo' over my head!

Maybe I should learn Mark Hanson's solo fingerstyle guitar arrangement of Tom Petty's "Breakdown". If there was ever an open, direct, and to-the-point song of lust, that has to be it...

We often tend to ignore the lyrics in these types of songs, but Petty puts it right out there.

Edit: In the current COVID-19 situation, this song takes on quite a daring sense about it because 6 feet apart is just not going to cut it.

Can you think of a single great rock 'n roll song that IS about staying six feet apart? Jeez, even a teenybopper song like "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" wouldn't work today. It sure doesn't lead to much Satisfaction. I guess Hey, Hey, You, You, Get Offa My Cloud could do it...

Maybe THE TWIST--it was hard to get closer than 6 feet when doing so (as I seem to vaguely remember).

I remember watching American Bandstand, Thaxton's Hop, Shindig, and a couple of others back in the early to mid 60s. To me, they just stood there and wiggled at each other, and still do today. When there are several couples, it is difficult to see who is dancing with whom, very much unlike ballroom and other more elegant and skillful means of dancing.

Thanks for posting this. I do have a couple of quibbles though:

1. What is that weird pattern on the top? I never saw wood grain like that!
2. What the hell happened to the sound hole? There was a thread recently about the label coming off, what about the sound hole sliding off? Hmmmm...
3. This is most important...I have a couple of these, so how come mine don't sound as good as his? Do I need to practice, practice, practice...or is his simply better than mine?

Anyway, I enjoyed watching the video, and in seriousness, agree with his assessment.

I'd say he rather liked it.

Good thing you bought it when you did. After Tony reviews it, they'll start selling out. :-)

I listened to his review. Frankly, I had to agree with just about everything he said with respect to the physical attributes and the sound of the Sable.

What’s not to like? Lol. I bought mine after going in to play something else. When the sales guy suggested I play the bees hive black thing with the crooked sound hole, I thought “hmm. Dunno about that.” But I did. Went back two days later to buy it. It was sold to the guy who was in the the other room while I was playing it for the first time. He bought it right after I left. I had to have one ordered. I worried it might not have the same mojo. It did. :-)

I agree Tony clearly likes it. He liked the Emerald X20 & X30 as well. In previous years Tony's 'reviews' were more like 'demos'. I like how he now does a bit of both playing and talking over the features of each particular instrument he reviews.

I also agree with Dave I think I nabbed one at just the right time cause I can certainly see the demand for this model increase.
