Hey, I recognize those. Looks like they haven’t been opened since I saw them.

What Steve did the Saturday before La Conner. I'm in the queue.

Excellent! How exciting for you! I'll be interested to see how your new guitar takes shape.

It's Guatemalan rosewood, Tom. Steve showed me stacks of spectacular rosewoods and similar woods, but this set had the tap tone that really moved me. The hue of the lighter parts of the rosewood looked very close to that of the redwood top - I think it will be a subtle but pleasing effect, bound with a dark brown Amazon rosewood.

His fingerstyle (FS), 12 fret with a cutaway. Since I wanted another guitar specifically for fingerstyle, it seemed the logical choice, but it was actually a tough decision.

I don't mean to hijack Ryan's thread - my time will come. Hopefully he'll take time to post some photos!

No worries Stan. Hijack away when you want to get excited about your new Kinnaird coming.

May 10: La Conner Washington. You’re not here, but you should be.

Pretty good Friday. Lots of local traffic with a decent smattering of people that have traveled just for this. With a beautiful weekend in the forecast, it’s the place to be.
