I'd sure expect so after only six years in.

I'll sometimes pause the screen when I've recorded something, to attend to something else, not wanting to lose the pause location when I return. My cable service (Verizon) is unreliable this way. It does have a "Resume Play" option, but doesn't always go back to the original pause location. Worse, it will often default back to the start, which is annoying.
I've often wondered about a screen saver program for the TV screen, but never really looked into it. I don't think it was available on my SONY.
Thank you for any info on that.
BTW, I'm really liking this OLED screen. Was watching a NOVA series on "The Planets", and the picture and color contrasts were spectacular.
No I didn't set up anything I guess as robj144 said it is the default on the TV. Works on Hulu , Amazon Prime also, as well as on DVD. I am not sure about if your using a recording device, I would guess maybe that pause is controlled by the recorder not the TV

Re: The Planets in 4K/HDR?
I don't believe so. I didn't see any verification of it, although, it sure felt like it was. What really struck me, other than the high quality resolution, was the color contrast, and how black parts of the screen were as a background for the super colorful planetary images, some of which had to have been computerized simulations. Nevertheless, it's the best I've ever seen in a TV.
In any case, it led me to look into the technology behind OLED a little bit more in depth. As you probably know already, but new to me, each pixel is electrically illuminated, meaning that it can achieve “total black” for contrast purposes, just by totally shutting off the electrical signal supply to those pixels.
That's a significant advantage picture wise over the backlight LED screen that was on my previous SONY model. Those models block the light as best they can, whereas in OLED, there is total black for lack of any light.
That's a big plus.
So, if this particular NOVA was in HD only (1080i), I can only imagine what a 4K picture broadcast would look like.
I don't believe I've seen one yet. Maybe some of the newer movies are already, but I'm not sure if some of the ones I have (HBO, Showtime) are quite there yet.
Most cable is not 4k yet. I thought you might have watched it on Netflix. The only way to get 4k and HDR is 4k Bluray, which is by far the best picture, and streaming sources like Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Youtube. It's kind of weird, but the native Youtube app builtin to my TV does 4k, but not 4k HDR on my generation which is three generations old now. Your app probably does 4k HDR by now I would think, so try that. Search for 4k HDR, and make sure you see the HDR confirmation pop up. It's really amazing.

Yes, I know all about OLED. They're the only TV with infinite contrast. Not having a back light is why it is so incredibly thin too.

Is that ∞ contrast adjustable to something more in a normal range?

Umm... no, it's infinite which is what you actually want.

For less than two hundred bucks I'm surprised the thing still works.

I suppose I could just get a b&w TV, then.
