It started snowing around midnight here in northern Indiana and it likely won't stop until 7pm. My snow shovel and I are patiently waiting for it to stop. LOL

Honestly, when we wintered in Puerto Rico for eight years we would sometimes find ourselves lamenting that we missed the big blizzards up home. I'm not a real fan of frigid air day in and day out but I always love a big storm. Since we sold the place in PR and are back to spending the winters up north again we have a more positive view of impending snow storms.

Saves the back, or what's left of it.

Our neighborhood is in another generational turnover so it's a joy to see the little kids still feeling that.

Equally entertaining has been my retro kick via YouTube and stuff I've seen on Facebook about two big storms in local history. At least since the 1960s, there's nothing new about weather and news people getting riled up about storms. Now they just have better cameras and wireless bandwidth.

A few weeks ago some pals had a bittersweet snow/fat biking ride via someone's cancer scenario but it was funny to see grown men mostly in their 60s thrilled by that peace and beauty in the woods.

Here in SW PA we're expecting more ice than snow. I'd rather have the powder; we're planning on going skiing. Hopefully PennDOT keeps up on the roads.
