My new X20 makes an appearance at around 9:08. It’s already in UPS’s hands, with the unlikely delivery date of next Monday

One of my Emerald's came over during a US national holiday. US Customs takes off federal holidays, so that might add a day or two to the process. However, if you paid for the expedited UPS shipping, Monday might be realistic. I understand that the expedited UPS route includes pre-clearance in Ireland from US Customs. Fingers crossed (and not just to make jazz chords).

I did pay for the expedited shipping - as I was able to take advantage of the recent 10% off coupon, that discount covered the extra cost quite handily.

We shall see. I’ll be busy enough this weekend not to be hanging on every tracking update (or lack thereof). After waiting 6 weeks for it to be made, it seems silly to be concerned about an extra day or two in transit.

As I reported elsewhere, it arrived today, after 6 days in transit.

Watching the tracking info was interesting. It hung around in Ireland for a few days, but the updates seemed to indicate that it did, indeed, clear customs before it left Irish shores. That should put paid to any ‘extra charges’ on this side of the pond (which I haven’t seen any reports of for a long time.)

Well, not really. Being in the US now, you can be as demanding as any American tourist. Having had to travel quite a bit to Europe for work during my career, I always got a kick out of observing American tourists and how demanding they often seemed to be. We have gotten used to same day and overnight deliveries, however unnecessary, from Amazon that an extra day can seem an eternity.

I am sure that your patience with this guitar order is much appreciated by the folks at Emerald.

Tony

July 14th video, at the 13:42 mark I was expecting to hear “and this beautiful X20 goes to Bob in Texas.” But heard …….. was that the key to a free xxl Emerald tshirt? or maybe a 25% discount.

A rare slip up there - but it’s a beautiful guitar. Black quilted maple is probably my favourite veneer, but I’m too cheap to pay for it

I asked about getting a t-shirt instead of a mug with my recent purchase, but was told that they don’t keep any ‘merch’ at the factory any more - it all goes through a third party. So, mug #4 it is.

Yabut, who couldn't use another mug? With this incredible sale going on at Emerald, next week's shipping video may be hours long!

I guess there is no shipping video today because the 100's of sales this week were stock guitars from the super sale!

Or, the shipping video would have to be 4 1/2 hours long and require a crew of 20 to handle all the guitars and logistics.
