This tune kind of has more of a folky, jug band sort of feel, so it works for me, I guess. Anyway, this is my fun, very sloppy take on the good, old Deep Elem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvVoUEHB0ws
Nice job, a song I keep to play up-tempo jug band style with my musical compatriots. Here's my lyric sheet for anyone who wants to incorporate it into their set list:

Deep Elum Blues Key of A

If you go down to Deep Elem put your money in your shoes
The women in Deep Elem they will give a man the blues

Refrain:
Oh Sweet Mama, Daddy's got them Deep Elem blues
Oh Sweet Mama, Daddy's got them Deep Elem blues

When you go down to Deep Elem to have a little fun,
Have your ten dollars ready when that old policeman comes

When yo go down to Deep Elem put your money in your pants
Cause the women in Deep Elem they don't give a man a chance

Once I had a girlfriend, She meant the world to me
She went down to Deep Elem, Now she ain't what she used to be

Once I knew a preacher, preached the bible through and through
He went down to Deep Elem, now his preaching days are through

Hey. thank you for checking it out.

That tune has a lot of alternate lyrics floating around, and it's easy enough to make some up on the fly if you blank on the words, lol.
