Default Yesterday, the movie

I looked back and didnt see any discussion of the movie but I just finished watching it and loved every part of it except his parting speech. He could have said that these songs were written by so and so etc and Ive brought them to you to enjoy. I didnt write them but Ive channeled them, good bye.
Ive never been a Beatles fan but there are some songs Ive loved, Yesterday being the most as it says a lot about my life. There was Michelle and In my life. Probably a couple more but in this movie I really like the tunes that were used. What a cute concept though, some things just disappeared.

There was a fair amount of discussion of that movie when it came out, although I think a lot of it was about the Martin CEO-7 that his friends gave him as a gift since his old one had been destroyed in his bicycle / bus crash.

I've subsequently bought a CEO-7, not directly because of the movie, but very possibly indirectly as a result of all the talk of the model that the movie brought out. Made me more aware of it, I took a closer look at it, listened to a lot of clips of it, and determined it was pretty much exactly what I'd been looking for. I liked it so much when I got it that I sold my other two acoustics (I'd expected to keep one of them, at least) and it's my only acoustic, all-rounder extraordinaire, for my purposes at least.

In terms of the plot, I think the whole thing required such an enormous suspension of belief that I couldn't take too much offense at details I might have handled differently. It was a ridiculous movie, but very cute and entertaining. And I indirectly got a great guitar out of it.

Maybe ridiculous is the right word, a ridiculous flight of fancy that sported some great songs.

My wife and I popped a big bowl of popcorn and watched this movie together not long ago...

I've always said, not every movie needs to be examined deeply or critiqued, looking for loose ends or something that's "not logical"...

We both found this one to be fun, whimsical, and refreshing...

I think we need more movies like this in these times where the whole world is so deeply troubled...

Good point. Sometimes, just have fun.

I liked it.

Come on! It's a fantasy, people!

And wouldn't you want to be the guy that introduces the world to your favorite band's music?

Saw the movie.

Saw the guitar.

Bought the guitar.

Running away with Lily James.

Bringing the guitar.

The end.

Wife & I watched that one with some anticipation because the actor played the character Tamwar Masood on Eastenders years ago, and brought the same dry delivery to Yesterday. Cute rom-com featuring Beatles music, more believable than any given episode of Eastenders.

We saw it in a theater and enjoyed it. After all it jus "Hollywood" so I never stop watching for analysis. Just relax and enjoy the ride.

Indeed, I shall . . .
But, as Kelly McGillis said to me after Top Gun - "It's lookin' pretty good so far . . ."
