Default Rope Stretchin' Blues (Blind Blake)

Hi guys,

here's my latest recording. Blind Blake's Rope Stretchin' Blues on a Gibson J-45. From an arrangement by Ari Eisinger.

I hope you like it.

I really like this one, there are some great dynamics in the composition, especially right at the start, and you've nailed them. Ari's lessons are really working well for you. Keep 'em coming!

Thank you so much Dubi! Ari's awesome. I'd love to study in person with him someday.

What's your FPR schedule like this year? I'm there with Jorma for the Rev. Gary Davis weekend. It would be great to meet up again.

Nice Doug!

Did you get his stuff from Grossman's website?

Ok, thanks. My birthday's coming and I might buy a couple of his instant downloaded lessons.

Next month with Larry Campbell, Woody again in May, Jorma's master class in November -- three trips this year, a first for me. I thought about Gary Davis weekend, but I've got so much of his stuff that I've yet to master from past classes with Jorma and Woody that I decided to pass on it.

Wow I'm lucky to make it as much as I do. 24 hours of driving in a weekend is too much for me to do it more than once a year. I'd like to do a master class one day but I'm just not ready. Not flying at that level.

Doug, this is a really cool song, I hadn’t heard it before. I like the title. Really nicely played - I enjoyed it!

Good job, just needs tighter rhythm and note volume control. Personally I would leave out the fast strumming bit and keep it all about the blues.

Thanks for the advice! Not one of my better performances. Time to go back to the woodshed I think.
