Help needed with Rocks Won't Cry (Shane Barnard) (Vid Link Provided)
The 4th video on this page is Rocks Won't Cry played by Shane & Shane. Login/Pass = shane/barnard
me and a friend of mine plan on doing this song in a couple weeks, but i cant figure out the chords for the verse, mainly for shane everett (the guy on the right, playing with a full capo on the 5th). i can get a someone ok sounding progression for shane barnard, but its not right. can someone please please please please help? ive been tryin really hard, and i know some can pick up what chords are being played really easily. this would be greatly appreciated.. thanks, shane

Wish I could help (I love Shane & Shane -- they are incredibly talented, but more importantly, incredibly using their gifts for God's glory, not their own). Anyway, having watched the video only a couple of times, I can't see enough of Shane E playing, but it looks like he is playing in E. The shaneweb.com site (that has some tabs) shows that song (from the album) capo'd at 2 and played in A2 / Bsus. So if Shane E in the video is capo'd at 5 and playing E chords then that would be a step down from the album version. (see http://www.shanebweb.com/tab/rocks/r...nt_cry.crd.txt and compare it with the album song -- I don't have that CD yet, so I'm not as familiar with the song). I have seen these guys play the same song 2-3 different ways - they really mix it up. And, honestly, I am not good enough to see them do something live and try to do what they do. I have to look at the tab and get it sound something close to the melody of the words and not try to play as good as they can (and the playing is not the important part, anyway, it's the words!) Anyway, good luck.

turns out i need help with the chorus for shane everett too... how about all of shane everetts parts lol... please help!
by the way, that tab isnt really at all correct.. i dont trust the majority of tabs on that website.

Shane, I can't help you, but I just wanted to thank you for sharing that video. I downloaded the whole show and those guys are inspiring worshipers and seem to be great guys. They are finally coming to Gainesville in November. Can't wait to see them.
