Default BROTHERS IN ARMS for my friend...

Hi friends,

* I don't why I tend to wake up on a Monday morn' lookin' like crap with my voice shot from weekend gigs and decide to record a video. But like most mornings this past year, I was thinkin' of my best & oldest friend; John McDonald who passed last Feb. This song came to mind, I never played it before, but he always liked it. So I listened to the original a few times & came up with my rendition. I've only played it a few times so it ain't polished, but I was in the moment & memory of my brother and turned the camera on....

** Recorded with just an ol' Canon camera and my lil' Martin 000-18 unplugged, old strings, morning hair, scratchy voice and all...LOL!

Enjoy in HD with earbudz, thank you for listening; for John & one love to all!

eric

Hi Eric,

That song, when done well, always brings a tear or two to my ears. And your version did that, too!

I have not done that song myself because I can't get through it. You did a good job, Eric, showing respect and feeling for the song and for your friend, but not letting it overwhelm you.

That was very well done! I listened to every moment of your recording with total attention. Well done...

I am sorry for the loss of your friend. We're getting older and we seem to be losing more friends on a weekly basis.

Take care,
- Glenn

Thank you Glenn for your most kind thoughts and comments. ...yes friends & family are leaving us for awhile more and more these days, yet not without hope for which I'm grateful. Glenn I would totally enjoy listening to you do a rendition of this song, you always have a lovely way about your playing that eases the soul.

Cheers brother,

eric

Hey, Noledog, very fine job on a terrific song, it's always obvious when somethings "from the heart', as this one certainly is.
Well done.

This song has a lot of meaning for me, as I'm sure it does for you. In life we endure pain and loss. Thanks for the song. I'm sorry for your loss.

Love it. One of my favorites here lately. I think the early morning edge just adds to the beautiful melancholy.
