Carolina In My Mind- with harmonies using the DigiTech Jamman
https://youtu.be/ePuNKR70W4M
The Theme this month for me has been the music of James Taylor. Such an inspiration to many. He turned 70 yesterday and is still showing us how to get it done! For this recording I used my I-phone, the DigiTech JamMan loop pedal to add vocal harmonies to the mix. The voices are all mine, the guitar and lead vocal is live. I included in the Youtube video a spoken and written description of how it works. My Guitar is Rainsong H-DR1000 AMP Fishman Performer(for vocals and Guitar and the DigiTech Jamman is playing through the aux in on the Fishman Performer.

Very nice harmonies, and playing. Still not sure how you sync the harmonies with your live singing. Is the jamman listening to you play?

Quote:
The JamMan is controlled by my feet.(no shoes for better feel) The JamMan can be set in a record mode called instant/mic & stop. When I recorded the vocals, on the exact beat I wanted them to start recording, I simply press the record pedal (left side) and in that mode it is instant on the beat. I also stop it on the precise beat(right side pedal), so the loop is in continuous correct time. Once I save it as a loop. I can add/layer more vocals in the same manner. Once it's all saved in its location on the Pedal. It is in an "instant on mode" for playback. As long as you nail the beat with your feet, it is spot on. If you watch my feet in the video, you can see how I start and stop (on the beat with my feet) It takes practice to get the feet working when your brain wants it too.

Thanks Glenn,
It keeps me from falling asleep. It is fun. The Looper is also great for setting a rhythm track to practice to.
