Default My new Lowden

I got a Lowden F23 last weekend and I did a little bit of recording with it tonight.

You know that thing where you get to know a tune from listening to it, and then you try to play it but over time what you play strays away from the original thing until they become distinct (but similar) things? Well, in that style this is based on Phil Keaggy's 'County Down'. Just nowhere near as good.

I recorded this on a Zoom H2 then balanced up the sound a little afterwards but I think it did a decent job of capturing the sound of the guitar.

Very sweet sounding and nicely played.
I'd be happy with that.... and I'm a Campbell!

Colin, that is beautiful playing, and a wonderful sounding guitar. And yes, I understand what you’re saying - you’re making the song your own. Very nice job here, I enjoyed listening!
