Default A little something different... An original jingle!

Before you listen to the following file, please read this first!

I am in a little friendly competition on another website and this month we decided to do write a jingle rather than a song. We were given the option of three choices: a candy made from Bourbon and sugar called Southern Comforts, a fast new car called the Millennium, and a perfume/cologne called Northern Lights. The idea was to write a jingle for one of these imaginary items. It has to be under one minute in length.

So, I came up with the following jingle for Southern Comforts candy. While I was recording this, my 14 yo daughter came in and wanted to play the part of Pat in the commercial/jingle.

Please understand that this is meant to be cheesy and fun, not as anything too serious. I wrote this in about 10 minutes while sitting at a Sonic Drive-in waiting on my food. Recording this was an absolute blast and about as much fun as I've had recording in a LONG time.

As a background, I kind of based this upon the cheesy jingles/commercials from the 1970s/1980s, but I put a little more "adult" spin on it for fun. Nothing too out there, but... well, you'll know soon enough...

Enjoy!
