Question URGENT!!! Question about Digidesign MBOX 2 and PRO TOOLS!!

Hello. My Mac only works with pro tools 7.4.2, but I have the pro tools program that I downloaded from digidesign website. I had some mbox-es and sold them all, but still have digidesign account
Is it okay to get an used mbox that was used with pro tools 7.0 or 7.3, just use the mbox 2 hardware with my 7.4.2 pro tools program??

Please, let me know asap, folks!!!

Default mac and pro tools

you may want to ask this question on the digidesign forum site or another site devoted to protools such as big blue lounge. that is a very specific question that requires a similar answer. you would get many more viewers on those sites.
good luck to you.

I help TA for the recording class here at school. We have a bunch of original Mboxes and 2 mbox 2's. We just updated all the laptops to the new protools and the old Mboxes handle it fine. So I don't see a reason why it would not work.

Another thing I just thought of. One of the students recently recorded a concert using one of the Mbox 2's. He brought the computer in the other day and I opened up his file using one of the old Mboxes we had sitting around. I think you'll be fine. Contact digidesign, they are very helpful and prompt.
