The Rams are going to the Super Bowl because of the referees.
Ridiculous how a game of this magnitude wasn’t even fair.
The refs screwed-up, and the Saints lost a game they really won.
Just pathetic.

It’s ok, the Pats will beat them and make things right.

It's unbelievable. The refs made a travesty of the championship game.

People that want to whine about refs need to at least realize it was bad both sides. The Saints only had three penalties called on them and they missed the Saints player facemasking Goff on a scramble on 2nd and goal on the drive where the Rams tied it 20-20.

The Saints Super Bowl run in 09 was aided by no calls that went their way, especially the NFC championship against Favre.

Yeah, lets rationalize the putrid call on a 10 year old game. The referees gave the game to the Rams before the whole country. I don't see anybody making excuses for them outside of the New Orleans coach who begrudgingly accepted the outcome! Otherwise, he'd get into trouble with the NFL.

At least my Clemson Tigers left no doubt on the field last week!

Think about the last two weeks. The Bears lost on a missed field goal - the Eagles lost on a dropped pass that turned into an interception. In the aftermath of those games, Eagles fans showed nothing but love for Alshon Jeffries, the receiver who dropped the pass. Bears fans were calling for their kicker, Cody Parkey, to be drawn and quartered. Seriously, people wanted him dead. Tell me about how bad Philly fans are again.

In the Rams defense, they did show up on OT and won fair and square by a beautiful kick. But the fact that there was OT when a very obvious call would’ve sent the Saints to the super bowl, can’t be ignored.

I’m basing it on the fact that if the refs don’t miss the facemask on Goff, the Rams likely score a TD with a fresh set of downs on the 1 and this missed call either never happens or doesn’t affect the game. Don’t act like the refs were one sided or this one missed call is why the Saints couldn’t make a stop on D at the end or move the ball in overtime. The refs also gifted NOLA a week pass interference in overtime.

As much as I agree they were best in OT, they NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE.

It was such a blatant interference and helmet to helmet besides.

The refs wanted LA to be in the Super Bowl. It's too bad they didn't do it on their own. LA is a good team and didn't need the Ref's help.

The refs should resign. I could do a better job and I've never refereed a game in my life.

Absolutely disgraceful.

Eagles fans have a history of throwing things at opposing players and fans like batteries and beer cans, boo injured players, booed their super bowl winning players this year, heck they even booed Santa Claus, assaulted a redskins fan / unofficial mascot, throwing snowballs at opposing players, the way they treated Andy Reid, acting like compete fools at the super bowl parade among many other things.

Here’s a great article.

on a light note…Jimmy Buffett sang the National Anthem at the pats game…my husband said “who is that? He stinks”. I told him Jimmy Buffett and he said “Are you sure???”. I had to double check. Not a great rendition.
