you can try taking an inspection mirror and look in the following areas:

lower bout sides
underside of top
end block
one of the fan braces ( assuming its a 7 fan brace guitar)

sometimes builders will place a mark there.

Yeah, I did... I looked all over inside with an inspection mirror. I don't see any markings (except the markings left from where they measured and cut the wood)
