I speak electric. Most of these are gone now, I still have a few electric amps though; Brunocowtipper II, Red Plate Magic Dust Duo, BF Super Reverb, Ho Wet/Dry amp.
Yep, Vibroverbs really are great, but not as good as a Super Reverb filled with Jensen C10N's.

My current modest collection - early '80s Hondo Pro Lead 2 copy, Squier VM Jag, Rickenbacker 650D, and a Guyatone lap steel lurking in the background.

Here's my "do-it-all" 1974 Gibson ES-345 (heavily modified!), and my two amps; a 1976 Fender Deluxe Reverb and my trusty old 1980 Yamaha GL100-112... this is plenty for me with as little as I play electric guitar these days...
...and for the times I'm wanting that "old jazz standard" feeling... my 1976 Gibson ES-175...

Thank you, I never intended to get two. I actually spent over 5 years looking for one, and just when I was about to give up looking, I found the first one with the L5s tailpiece in Canada, then a few months later, I found the other in Pennsylvania. I wanted to know whether the stoptail version was better than L5 tailpiece version, so I bought them both, thinking I would keep the one I liked most. In the end, I wound up keeping them both because, they're both great sounding, and just as important, great feeling! I love the neck shape, and low actions on both of them! And the pickups have a beautiful clean tone, perfect for the way I play. Don't let them fool you though, they also sound good with a little grit. Not like like a Les Paul, a little brighter with a snap quick response. Here's the darker Fireburst one through a Clark tweed deluxe variant. |

I lean towards the “Standard” SG, and their variants, as that is my favorite SG model. The only other Special I have is part of the 2015 family:

WOW Birchtop - you even have a 2015 family. That's awesome. I have 8 Gibsons but they're 3 SGs, 4 Les Pauls, and a Flying V. Do you have any other Gibsons?
I don't know anything about the GC Jr, the player of the guitar. I actually googled 2017 Yellow SG 3 pickups and it came up (I get curious when I see guitars like that). What made you want to get that one? The player or the guitar? |

I mainly picked up the GC Jr because of the three P-90s. The color kind of caught me as well. Turns out it was a limited run as they had serious issues of the gloss yellow finish cracking/checking, especially around the upper neck/head area. You can google and read all about it. It is very rare to find one without the cracks, I may even have the last one. The 2018 GC Jr’s came in Vintage Red. No more problems

I think I've got some catching up to do on Gibson electrics . I don't have any Gibson acoustics either. Again, sweet SGs!
