Thanks to those of you who chimed in...

Now that we’ve entered 2019 (Happy New Year!), I will no longer updating this build list. There is a diverse array of 54 commissioned guitars listed. Hopefully, those who posted will be able to share their being built or completed instruments across the year here in the AGF Custom Shop...

What type of guitar(s) are you expecting and from which luthier(s) will we be seeing here in 2019?

I will added a summary list that I will update from time (for the next few weeks) to time based on responses in this initial post.

So heartening to see that the luthier built guitar community is still going strong! So many familiar builds going on here, very much looking forward to seeing threads for them

Agreed Marcus... I suspect that no one is happier to see this than the luthier community...

Bob - I'm too late but great idea!

But for good measure the Bashkin will be built this year, though I expect the Michaud will push to 2020.

I can't wait to receive my Tom Sands Baritone with all the trimmings (cutaway, Manzer wedge, fan frets, arm and rib bevels, etched copper rosette) in a few months' time - the first of two guitars I have coming from Tom. I'm jokingly calling it the Dan Burne signature Sands baritone. I've started a build thread here: https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=525777

I've never commissioned a custom build and never thought I would.

I struggled with one of my favorite guitar designs being almost perfect for me.

On a whim I did a Google search and found a NYC store commissioned a small batch that were exactly what I had always wanted. The price was more than I would splurge on for myself but pretty close. And for a "dream" guitar I could certainly stretch to it.

But I reached out to Ted at LA Guitar Sales to see if he might get a better price for a custom like that.

I'm hopeful he comes back with an offer I can't refuse.
