Default Waverly's for a Taylor?

I'm considering upgrading the tuners on my 2003 Taylor 214 acoustic to a set of Waverlies.

Will the screw holes match up? Any other problems with doing this?

Many thanks for your help!

Bill

I'm not sure what's on your Taylor, but most have the standard 10mm size tuners.

StewMac makes a set of bushings to fit the 10 mm holes. then the 1/4" shafts will slide right into place.

Obviously the screw holes on the back won't align correctly and you will either have an extra hole from the original tuners, or you will have to do a repair to cover them. There are a variety of ways to do this.

Here's a pretty good explanation for how to fix most headstock hole problems.

Hope this helps.
