Loose pickguard on a Godin 5th ave
Hi,
I just bought a used Godin 5th avenue. As expected, I love playing it. There is one issue, however. When I put even a small amount of pressure on the pickguard, one of the screws holding it comes loose. What do you guys think I should do to fix this?

Sounds like whoever had it before you had taken the pickguard on and off a couple times and/or tried to press the pickguard down into a lower position, stripping the screwhole in question; solutions I've seen/used include:

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your reply. To my ears, the wood putty solution sounds best. I will try it and report back how it went.
