For K&K pickups, feel free to experiment with the 1 Meg Ohm input impedance and the presence contour. Both settings are located on the DIP switch inside the Stage DI-2.

Perfect! This is what I was missing....

One other question, are both the TRS and XLR outputs always post-EQ?
The manual says some thing about 'a pure DI Box' when using the
insert plug Return. Can you clarify?

Thanks

Thank you. Those were two of the features that really drew me to the product. I'm eager to try it.

I'm happy with my Stage DI-2 with my HD28/Dazzo. Not that much experience so hard for me to give a valid review. Only thing I wish is that it had a battery life indicator and not an easy way to change out the battery unless you carry a screwdriver with you. If I had a battery indicator, I could change it before it went dead. A rechargeable battery circuit would be nice.

I also acquired a Bose S1 Pro. Not sure why, but I get a lot of feedback when I plug into the S1 pro without using the Stage Di-2. When I use the Stage Di-2, no feedback.

What puzzles me is when I plug the HD28 into my Boss Katana MK2 50 amp, I get no feedback with or without the stage DI-2. Same location, placement etc. Again, I'm only plugging the guitar into these amps.

I know it's easy to focus on bells and whistles, but it's the basic SunnAudio tone that is front and center with me.

It is due to the high pass filter. One of the most useful filter for acoustic guitar.

Just like the Stage DI-1, plugging in a line level signal source (like from a pedal, effect or keyboard) into the effects return, the Stage DI-2 turns into a pure DI box that will drive the XLR and TRS outputs. This mode bypasses the preamp and EQ stages.

The volume control, Mute and Boost functions and phantom power will work normally.

And noted. We actually took out the Power status LED because it would confuse users. When the Blue boost LED dims, it's time to 'think about' changing the battery.

Again many thanks to the great AFG member support and the helpful comments. The Stage DI-2 Prestine is based on your inputs!

I figured the HPF was for teh S1 pro feedback. But why when I plug into my other amp I get zero feedback with or without the stage DI-2

Technically it's our outputs to Sunny's inputs.

My guess is that the other amp is voiced in such a way that it rolls off the bass more than the S1 Pro. Or it could even be something simple like a phase difference between the two speakers.

Also, the Bose S1 is bass heavy in it's design.

Sunny
What is the estimated time left of operation when the blue boost led dims?

I’m seriously considering purchasing the Stage DI-2 Prestine, and I’m looking, with no success so far, for a stereo break-out cable like the Hosa YPP-117 linked to earlier, but with a right-angle 1/4” TRS plug instead of the straight plug of the YPP-117.

Does anyone know if such a thing exists?
