Default Are these possible cracks or wood grain on a D10e

I recently purchased this Martin D10e and I did my own inspection and I found possible cracks. I went back through the photos they sent me before shipping and saw the suspected crack. What do you guys think? Wood grain or cracks, I am not too familiar with Sitka spruce.

You need to find a photo hosting site, many available.

IMGUR as an example.

Or become a Charter Member by donating to AGF.

Posting Images is discussed in the AGF FAQ

There is a very fine split parallel to the fingerboard. I would post this in the Build and Repair forum for ways to stabilize it from underneath, if any treatment is even necessary.

I don't see anything (cracks) in that photo.

I find some lines in the soundboard that are usual, i don't see any evidence of any cracks.

I'd be curious what others see in those photos.

Hi Vic, welcome to the AGF. There are actually three ways to post pics on the AGF, but two available to registered users (those who are not charter members). You may use the Tapatalk app or a third-party host like Imgur. Take a look at this thread and PM me if you have any questions.

I've moved your thread to the Build section, so please do not double-post it.

Yes I was wondering what that was. I just got this guitar 3 days ago and did my own inspection. I found multiple lines throughout the guitar. I even found that line in the pictures they sent me before shipping it. Should I be concerned and try and return it?

It sounds to me that you are deeply dissatisfied, so why not return it?

For if it is I who have this same issue, I would weigh in factors such as how much I bought it for and how much off was it from retail pricing. Then assess damage for repairability and price to repair.

A guitar of that price point and caliber I would not be able to bare the cracks if there are multiple locations like you have cited.

I only own one guitar sub $500 range and have been playing for less than three months. I would await for further replies for a more better reason to keep or return.

Good luck and I hope for the best.

Idk. It's about 50/50 to me now that you say that. I'd bring it to a local shop to have it checked, crack or not. May probability be in your favor.
