Default Fender Jaguar models

Ok, so I am going to go try several tomorrow, but if there are strong opinions out there I would welcome them.

I am (on paper) down to a choice between a Modern Player and a Blacktop. I can add and subtract switching easy enough. I can even switch out pickups if that strikes my fancy.

Does anyone have strong opinions on either of these? Good or bad?

I played several at Dave's last week. Enough of a diversion that I put off my original goal of a top tier semi-hollow.

The used 62 AVRI should be snapped up - truly EC+ condition with stickers still on it.

I get the ease of the switch on the Johnny Marr, but would go with a vintage style myself.

The 50th Anniversaries were nice but I couldn't notice if improved bridge reached my ears.

The newer 65 AVRIs are more fancy with binding.

Finally there are still a few Thin Skin Jaguars out there in the world. I love my Fender Thin Skin, and the ones I tried have all been awesome - sort of your path between American series and Custom Shop. My Thin Skin is a 68 reissue Thinline, not Jaguar.

I don't think I tried the two you mention last week but I tried a Squiere and less expensive ones at a local dealer that were fun.

All pretty neat instruments that do a bunch of styles and comfy to hold and play.
