Truss rod in Aria A-560?
Would my 1970 Aria have any type of truss rod?
It is still doing great after all these years and I was just wondering if a truss rod is holding it or just the mahogany/ebony neck holding straight on its own? |

Their steel strings had them, but I do not think the classicals did. I had one of the reasonably good Aria nylon-string guitars for a while in the late 70s and it was a remarkably nice guitar given how relatively inexpensive it was.

I'm not aware of one in my 1970 Aria, nor of truss rods in Japanese classicals of that era.

Truss rod in Aria A-560?
This one has really aged well. I had a set set-up/adjustment done last fall and it sounds great, and plays well. I was reading about Willie Nelson’s Martin guitar, which I think has a non-adjustable truss rod, so I was wondering if that was why this one has held up so well. I did put high tension nylons on for a few years, but most of its 50 years I have used regular tension.
I would not trade it for one worth much more. That old cedar top just sounds great! Thanks guys Whvick |
