Just heard the music of Ian Noe
I ran across this article about Ian Noe on the AV Club website:
https://music.avclub.com/meet-ian-no...794.1524284808 He's great. In terms of his talent, listening to those videos implanted in the story and some of the songs by him on YouTube, he reminds me of the impact I felt the first time I ever heard Gillian Welch. Acoustic guitar content: in most of the videos he's playing what appears to be a Martin D-45, but he's got a metal-bodied roundneck National in a video that was shot in Jason Momoa's condo in Vancouver, BC. Anyhow, take a few minutes and listen to Ian Noe's music. I find him very impressive. Wade Hampton Miller Last edited by Wade Hampton; 05-14-2019 at 06:34 AM. |

Have you listened to Colter Hall? Can't figure out what guitar he's playing. Be prepared for a shock when you hear his voice... |

Yes, my daughter is a Colter Wall fan and turned me on to his music. I’ve got some of Wall’s music on my phone. I can see the affinity between the two, but have to say that Noe’s music speaks more directly to me.

I saw Ian open for Colter here in Mass a few years ago in a really small bar in Cambridge. They were both great. Ian just came through town opening for Son Volt. I think his new album is coming out very soon.

Both Ian Noa and Colter Wall are superb, never heard of them before.
Thank you for the leads, Wade Hampton Miller! |
