Ray, looks awesome! The veneer is definitely a nice touch on that carbon fiber acoustic.

It is amazing what Ray can do with contact paper!

Back on topic, I have not noticed the guitar being different like the wooden ones can be. My ear and my playing can certainly vary from day to day or even hour to hour, but the guitars themselves are remarkably consistent.

I also notice [PERCEIVED] differences in tone on the CF guitars I've had. Just like with wood guitars. I just chalk it up to my mood/inspiration (or lack thereof) on that given day. Some days it's just not there. I power through some of those days, while others I prefer to put the instrument down and just come back to it when my musical soul is ready. When I was young, woodshedding perspiration > inspiration. Now that I'm older, inspiration > perspiration.

I actually suck at contact paper application - thus I leave that to my Irish friends...

But I can install tuner buttons like nobody's business. I almost never drop the little washers anymore... And the tone...
