Ain’t She Sweet

Here’s some trad jazz....on vocals and tenor guitar in Chicago tuning. (Yes, I know it’s only four strings, but still.)

Love this!
That Ibanez tenor sounds pretty good. I've always wanted to mess around with a tenor. |

Yes, the Ibanez is pretty cool...just got it, and it’s an immediate favourite!

That was fun, thank you for sharing!
I learned “Ain’t She Sweet” from my Dad. It’s a great tune, and my wife and I still include it in the “Old Time Favorites” set that we have performed hundreds of times in retirement homes and nursing homes. A couple other tunes from roughly the same era that my Dad used to sing and play were “Five Feet Two, Eyes of Blue” and ‘That Old Black Magic”. |

Loved it! My Grandpa sang this one, as well as 5 foot 2, Eyes of Blue....and Peg of My Heart.

Thank you all for the nice comments!
I think the four string tenor in this tuning is really great...it makes it possible for me to play this kind of trad jazz standards in all kinds of keys, thanks to movable barre chords which are far easier than on the six string. A nice thing, for sure.
