Yeah, I believe he showed me some parts of it when I visited in December. The top and back. Ended up looking interesting.

The new owner was to pick it up this past weekend...shame, I was hoping to see it when I visit Russel on Wednesday. And Zenith, I'll be picking up your Hiscox case on my way past Bridgewater...

Here's to hoping that the mandocello wasn't picked up this past week-end so that you have a chance to play it. Enjoy your visit with Russel. As you're heading west on 103 I'll be heading east on 101 going back home.

Zenith, the color of the sides in that last pic look amazing and so does the maple binding.

I had been waiting to see how the colour turned out. I know cocobolo can darken white a bit when finished, just wasn't sure if it would go that dark right away or need to age a bit. I like how it turned out. Still curious about the back. I do like me some maple.

Neat. The case is supposed to be pretty good shape. Too bad there was a 3 month back order on new a Hiscox. But should get the job done.

Turns out Russel picked up your case himself yesterday (and I've rescheduled my visit to the shop to Friday to avoid snowy roads tomorrow morning).

Along with wedged correctly, fanned correctly, and ported correctly. Should be a right hander's ergonomic nightmare.

Hoping to have it by Friday. We'll see how the week goes.

Looks good, Will (he says trying to put all of the pieces into their proper places. I thought mine was a Picasso but yours, from my perspective, is a Dali!). You're in for a treat...

Was supposed to arrive Tuesday, but since it's currently about 150km away should be getting it tomorrow. Probably won't be able to crack it open until Saturday, still pretty cold out there.

Wow, cool! I don't think I've ever actually seen a multi-scale dreadnought.

They look nice. Just what I was looking for. I'm away this weekend so my time's been limited. Still settling into the guitar.

Certainly looks nice. No abalone anywhere, aside from the maple leaves. Even the 'C' on the headstock is wood inlay.

Playability is nice. Wasn't sure if the wider neck and fan fret would cause an issue but it's quite comfortable.
