Default Favorite bass strings?

I like HT trebles and I want to pair them with a decent set of bass. What do you like?

Augustine Red or Blue are definitely worth trying; Savarez Cantiga and Corum,
as well. Have you tried D'Add EJ46?

I'm using an odd mix to suit my guitar: Savarez 520B low sixth, D'Add EJ45 medium fifth, D'Add EJ47 "gold" medium fourth.

Hi Barry,
Like many here I've tried a bunch over the years but I keep coming back to Savarez when it comes to basses, in particular the Corum line in HT. They just hit all the right buttons for me.
Some time ago, I tried D'Addario's EXP 46 line of coated (analogous to Elixir Nanowebs) silver plated basses and clear nylon trebles. I found them a little too mellow or muted for my tastes, but they might respond to you better, especially if you're still using your picks.
I see that they are currently sold out at Strings by Mail, but I have an extra set in High Tension I'd be happy to send you if you want to try them. (Gratis of course.) PM me if you do.

I'll see what I can find, thanks.

Thanks for the offer Andre, but I have more than enough strings.

They do tend to accumulate, don't they?
