Default Yamaha System 72 SRT Piezo

I have a Yamaha AC1R with the system 72 SRT system. Acoustically the guitar sounds great. When I plug it in, I get a, I will call it, a metallic sound out of the B string that bugs me.

I was thinking of replacing the bridge piezo, which is about $55 from Yamaha. Can I use another piezo? Has anyone had this issue?

The six crystal piezo Yamaha uses is better than many others out there. Have you tried shaping the saddle? Is the B string louder than the others?
