Default NGD Emerald X20 Artisan Amber

This is my second Emerald Guitar and it arrived on Sat. 21 Jan 15.

So far I love everything about this guitar.
Great tone, nice low action, I could go on and on but would just repeat the many positive statements already posted in recent threads about this fine instrument.
Some of these X20 postings have already shown many images of the Emerald X20 Artisan Amber, so I'll spare everyone and only post this one image of my X20 to show the satin neck option.
My other Emerald Guitar, X7 Artisan Amber, also has a satin neck.

As with my previous X7 guitar order, it's been great working with Sean on this X20 order too.

121;

Congratulations. I think the X20 is one of the most comfortable guitars I've ever embraced. It is also incredibly easy to play and has great tonal and projection qualities. Congratulations on a beautiful instrument.

Sweet. I love my X-20.

Is the satin finish an upcharge? I assume it is but don't know till you ask.

Thank you for your comments

Evan
I agree about the playing comfort of the X20, those body contours are extremely effective.
It is a joy to play.
I was amazed how well it produced lower bass notes when I dropped the tuning one step down to D-d.

Matt
There was no additional cost for the satin neck.

I hope you enjoy your beautiful new Emerald!

Yeah, the sustain on drop-tuned bass notes can be a little ridiculous. I was just noticing today in a certain tune where I'll play an open note on the sixth string (tuned down to C) that I'll eventually need to mute it because it's still ringing on after I've moved to a new tonality on the other strings. Everybody should have my problems. I think that effect might be more noticeable with the Ernie Ball Aluminum Bronze strings that I use on it.

That satin neck is so nicely done! Only in the Emerald City.

Beautiful !

If I was ordering one I'd also get that satin neck, not cuz I care that much about the feel, but just because it LOOKS so great !

EDIT: Just admiring your pic again,,, no electrics ? I thought that the p/u was standard on Artisans ?

This X20 Artisan has the K&K mini installed, my X7 Artisan also has the K&K mini installed. I rarely play plugged in, but like to have the option.

Ah, I see, good choice. I have a K&K in my Martin dread and like that a lot .

My 2013 Opus X7 has the B-Band under-saddle p/u with trapdoor control panel in top side, not crazy about the look, but it is actually a good p/u and convenient to use.
