Notation software for piano players?
Is there an inexpensive or free software for piano? My granddaughter (age 6) has been playing over a year and is starting to compose her own tunes. I thought it would be a great education for her (and her parents) to learn how to write notation. Thanks.

I'm another user of Musescore. I used Sibelius at work before retiring and it was seen as an industry standard. It was, however, expensive for the full version and does not work well in Linux. With the free version of Musescore I can do everything I used to be able to do in the full version of Sibelius.

Good for them to offer it free, but watch out for getting tied into subscriptions. I like Sibelius, but musescore is definitely worth trying.
