Yeah, I'm really fortunate to have such nice wood around. I bought the stash of a deceased guitar maker about 8 years ago. I'm still finding pieces I didn't know I had!

Great story... alas, no deceased builders in my area. But have slowly built a stash of my own...

Fingerboard extension mortis and tennis are cut and ready for the carbons fibre rods.

I make these half round rods in the shop by rounding over scrap pieces of wood and then pressing them into a form with strips of carbon fibre fabric and epoxy. These make very stiff and stable necks!

Thank you! It took months to get it just right. I'm very happy with how it's turned out, it's comfortable to hold, looks good and most important of all sounds great. Thanks for taking a look at my thread.
