That's one of the best looking sets of non figured koa I've ever seen. The RC guys had a set years back that had an amazing red-ish salmon color to it. It had a better tap tone than all the other 4-5 sets they had at the time, but Pete told me someone had already bought it of the website but he hadn't pulled it aside yet. This set rivals the beauty of that one. You have great taste in woods Fred.

That's really a beauty!

Have fun at LaConner--hope you come home empty-handed!

That's a beautiful guitar! Wow!! I can't get to La Conner this year, but this guitar would be worth going to see and play. And to hear Brad play it!!!

Should be a wonderful time up there!

I can take some credit for the build and wood choices but the Photos were done by Scott Ptak at the Artisan show. I am sure there will be lots of examples of his work showing up on guitars from the show as he seemed to be busy shooting both days.

Fred brought this Koa OM to the Great River Guitar Show. Wonderful instrument, and the wood is even more gorgeous than shown in the photos.

Chuck, thanks for reviving this, I missed it. Fred, I see several great elements of your builds. However, I find little written about you and how you came to be where you are in your building. Other than beginning in 2005, I'm not seeing much. Can you point me to an article or, maybe here, post a little about your and your approach to building.
