I like Elixir Nano 80/20 Lights on both my D-18V and 000-18GE—they sound great and last me roughly five months.

I like D'Addario ej12s on my D28.

Tried the Ernie Ball Earthwood mediums but they just didn't do it for me.

JPs for my Froggy.....except that, as has been mentioned many times here, they don't last all that long.

My favorites are the Curt Mangans, then the D’Addario EJ11’s, then the John Pearse in that order.

I tried the John Pearse. As I recall they didn't last as long.
I'm going to try them again just to make sure.

Wow! Thanks for all the great ideas here. FWIW: I did a quick back-o-the-envelope tally and it looks like the vote are:

John Pearse - 9
Curt Mangan - 6
D'Addario - 5
Ernie Ball - 3
Gibson - 2
Elixir - 1
LaBella - 1
Martin - 1

I think I am going to try the Pearse, Mangan and D'Addarios next for comparison. Thanks everyone!

I do not perform out on a regular basis and my skin chemistry is such that it does not kill string tone so when I suggest strings that I am happy with, longevity usually isn't something I am very concerned with. I will have to remember to mention that when I give my recommendations here. I know that for some folks, how long strings last is an important factor.

When it comes to Pearse strings, I do not think that you are alone in the experience that they may not last as long as other brands. I have seen that comment a number of times when discussing them.

Best,
Jayne

Longevity isn't really a deal killer for me.
I am fortunate in that as a retired gentleman of sufficient means, funding for guitar accessories isn't an issue for me.
I've read where some said they experienced the same short life with Masterbuilt 80-20's. I think it's the nature of the beast to a degree.
I've got a set of D'Addarios 80-20's to try on the J45 next but after that I'll try those JP's again.

What are round core 80/20 strings that folks like? So far I've seen the Curt Mangans mentioned

John Pearce and Martin Authentic. I got the Authentics as a gift and was surprised by how much I liked them. PBS are still better on my maple Taylor but these worked pretty well.
