I use an old pair of Event PS6's (not to be confused with the newer SP6's). I think it gets interesting when the topic of monitors comes up. Some want a pristine reference to get the whole sonic landscape in precision detail. But, the ultimate mastered product may likely only get played on a cheap pair of headset or a modest car stereo. It's interesting the conversations that come up when you ask folks what they like to listen on...then ask what they get the best results on mastering.

It's really cool seeing what others are using...thanks for raising the question.

In fact, congrats on that Triton Le Old Anglo. That is a composition
machine. I have one back in the Etats Unis. In my bedroom studio,
I rely on a Korg M3m inter alia. But I miss those Le patches & those dual arpeggiators.

The monitors are kind of drab IMO. I hate how they sound in fact. But between them, H280's & k240's, I can arrive at a decent mix.

Headphones are important.
i have the triton le also. great machine.

as far as speakers, i use the event ps8 for monitoring and event 20/20 at the rear of the room as fill speakers for fun. headphones are sennheiser pro 280 and sony 7506. the sony are more comfortable.

play music!

Increasingly, people are listening to music with ear buds. A mix needs to sound good on those. And I'm skeptical about how well monitors translate to ear buds & cans.

The best mix I ever made was made on an iPad with K-240's, while I was sitting in an airport.

My main set of monitors are an Event 20/20bas pair. I've been using them for almost 15 years now & am so very comfortable with them. I also have 2 other sets I switch between to check translation: Alesis M1s and Yamaha NS10s.

For headphones I usually use an old pair of AKG K240s, but also have a ATH-40mf pair that I really like for the extended range & flat response.
