Default Reinforcing a tower/line array with traditional PAs

How should you go about reinforcing something like an Evolve 50M with additional speakers and what are the issues? I have two QSC CP12s and I am not sure if its a good idea to put them out wide or if this i bad for phasing/synergy. I have considered a pair of 50Ms down the road too.

Why would you consider doing this? Need more power?

I have a gymnasium gig coming up and will play with a drummer and bass (bass has his own rig). I was thinking about adding the CP12s to get more power/headroom but maybe I should just keep things simple and see what the 50M cad do on its own.

I like to use my Stagepas 1K as a monitor for the band in events with a large "stage" and I'll use my other PA as FOH.
