Which reminds me. A few years back, on the lone occasion when I got finally got around to recording a solo, acoustic instrumental version of "If I Fell" on my 1976 Martin D-35, I managed to flub slightly--without any kind of conscious, premeditated attempt at mimicry--the identical note at precisely the point where Paul's voice in the original studio recording famously falters at that high harmony moment during the second break. Most strange, indeed.
