Default Finished my first acoustic guitar

I did have a thread on here with my build but it has taken me longer than I thought and I haven't posted for quite some time but finally after 2 years it is now finished!

Wow Mark, that's just stunning! Did you do the inlay? How did it come out sound-wise?

Thanks it's sounding really good especially considering its new and only had the strings on a day. Looking forward to hearing how it changes as it "opens up" eventually.

I bought the inlay and then inlayed it myself, took me about 10 hrs to rout it and fit it but I think it was worth it!

Just noticed your thread on Redwood, I used a Sinker top and was a bit worried how it would sound as I hadn't played a sinker redwood guitar only normal redwood on a couple of Lowdens at a show but I'm glad I chose it now I have heard it. I'm not very good at describing sound but will try and do a recording when I get a chance.

Congratulations, Mark! Especially for sticking with it for so long. I know how hard that can be, and many have simply decided to call it quits.

Looks good, but it's not complete until you get that truss rod cover in place!

Thanks all, lol trust someone to notice I haven't put a truss cover on yet! Yes it's been difficult finding time for the build with work and unexpected house move then having a daughter but got there in the end and will hopefully pass it down to my daughter when she is old enough.
